Bryan ... So You Think You Can Ride
May 28 - Depart Ottawa - Arrive Victoria
Up at 5am. All packing was done last night with the bike on the roof rack of the car wrapped in a tarp.
Arrived at Robert's at 6am and continued on to the Ottawa airport.
Got the GeoCoin from Robert to drop in all the Great White North Geotour caches I do.
Arrived at airport about 6:30am and took the tarp off the bike.

Robert helps me unpack the bike because it was wrapped to keep the rain out.

Cold and windy in Ottawa. Forecast for BC is two weeks of sun and warm weather.
At check-in, it cost me an additional $52.50 for the bicycle. Hope it arrives and in the same condition.
Just before boarding, Murielle looked around and saw Marie-Andree and they had a chance to chat for a few minutes.
It was great seeing her and we got a photo of her and Murielle. Marie-Andree was heading for Toronto.

Murielle and Marie-Andree at the Ottawa airport
Once on board, Murielle was seated in 19C and I was in 29B.
It was a full flight so we were unable to change seats.
About 30 minutes into the flight, an oriental lady in 28F passed out.
There was a lot of action as the flight crew did what they could, got some oxygen for her and then called for a doctor on board.
The doctor arrived and stayed with her for about an hour, taking her blood pressure etc.
She slowly came to and shortly after her and her two family members were moved up to first class.
This was good for Murielle and I as the flight crew moved us to the empty seats.

As we approach Vancouver I can see part of my bike route.
This is near Hope, BC and the Trans Canada Highway runs along the river.
Notice the snowcapped mountains!!

Another view of the snowcapped mountains... Beautiful.

At the Vancouver ariport we met Gaston Desormeaux and his wife.
Gaston is President of the RCMP Vets in Quebec
They were on their way to the RCMP Vets Annual meeting in Whitehorse, Yukon

Victoria - We flew from Vancouver on Air Canada JAZZ

It was a long day...
